Hidden Hikes of Stockholm
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Stockholm
Optional: Walking Djurgården (Stockholm city park)
Today you arrive to Stockholm and
are free to explore this picturesque city. Often referred to as the 'Venice of
the North', Stockholm is unquestionably a unique and beautiful city all year

water, but also because of its combination of nature, colourful architecture
and history. And you need never walk far to appreciate the impressive views
stretching across the Baltic water as it winds past the city walls.

Here you can walk through ancient forests, visit palaces and bathe from waterside rocks. Animals such as foxes, badgers, marten, mink and deer roam freely and the greatest number of large oak trees in northern Europe are located right here, in the city centre!

through some of Stockholm's most fashionable suburbs, passing the 1920s district
of Gamla Bromma where desirable villas line the shore of this protected 'garden
city'. An idyllic place for Stockholmers to live outside the city centre. The
hike also takes you past no less than 4 established beaches so be prepared to
take a dip in the refreshing Mälaren waters. Your hike ends at Alvik Square
where there is a good choice of restaurants as well as the underground to take

of the central archipelago, with forests of pine trees and oaks, open meadows
and well-preserved settlements. There is a working farm so don't be surprised
to pass by grazing cows and the local bar serves food with is more than often
taken from the islands own produce. A chance to swim is never far away as you
