Day 1: In Stockholm
Today you arrive at Stockholm and you free time to explore the picturesque city of Stockholm. Often referred to as the 'Venice of the North', Stockholm is unquestionably a unique and beautiful city all year round, not only due to its location on 14 islands with its infinite presence of water, but also because of its combination of nature, colourful architecture and ancient history. And you need never walk far to appreciate the impressive views stretching across the Baltic water as it winds past the city walls. Furthermore, stroll through 13th century Gamla Stan, Stockholm's charming old town, where you cannot help but feel its medieval atmosphere as you wander through the cobblestone streets past narrow, colourful houses of yesteryear. There is so much to see in Stockholm, appealing to so many different interests, that you are sure to find something special within walking distance of your hotel.

Day 2: Stockholm → Stendörren → Nynäs manor → Trosa
This morning you are transfered from Stockholm to a Stendörren Nature Reserve, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Sweden because of its distinct feeling of peace and tranquillity in an unspoilt nature. Here you have the rest of the morning to hike across the many islands using their intriguing system of suspension bridges, or swim in the clean, refreshing Baltic waters.
After your picnic lunch in the Reserve, you take your bikes and cycle along country lanes through the varied countryside; evergreen forests, meadows and lakes. You pass the impressive 17th century Nynäs Manor where you can rest your legs and enjoy a guided tour or hike the trails in the manor house grounds. En route, you can also stop at Sandvik beach for a quick swim in the sea before you continue your journey on to the seaside town of Trosa. Trosa is visited by many Stockholmers in the summer months because of its unique location surrounded by both open landscape and another beautiful archipelago.

Day 3: Trosa → Långmaren → Tystberga → Runnviken
After a delicious and varied breakfast it's time to leave behind the buzz of Trosa as you head out to the Sörmland countryside exploring everything that is so quintessentially Swedish: sparkling lakes, lush forest, rolling countryside. Take time to visit Långmaren farm, a preserved farm museum set in a beautiful landscape. Make time also for a short detour to Gisesjön lake with its dramatic viewpoint. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of country lanes as you peddle your way towards your first overnight destination: Runnviken Pensionat, a hidden idyll with an enviable location deep in the countryside.
Don't miss an evening stroll to nearby Uppsa Kulle, Sörmland's largest burial mound and enjoy its magical atmopshere.

Day 4: Runnviken → Torsåker church → Sund Nergården
Another delicious breakfast and you're ready to embark on your next leg of cycling. More hidden trails, more beautiful scenery and plenty of time to rest and just enjoy! You pass Tystberga church and Torsåker church, both of which enjoy lovely views across the Sörmland countryside. Plus you pass by the small beach area on Sille lake where you can take a dip before heading to your next overnight destinations - a secret hideaway with a fantastic lakeside location where you are guaranteed total relaxation thanks to the gently lapping waves and harmonic surroundings. A moment for soul searching and repose.

Day 5: Sund Nergården → (Tullgarn Palace) → Trosa → Stockholm
You may not want to but unfortunately it's time to move on and take to the saddle making your way back the short distance to Trosa. You can detour along country tracks and visit impressive Tullgarn Palace, an 18th century palace located on the seashore with magnificent views of the Baltic waters. Then its back to Trosa, and after a short wander around the village you are transferred back to Stockholm.
